Meals will be Available to Children 18 and Under
New Site -->Miramonte School

The Mountain View School District is committed to serving nutritious meals to our students during the unanticipated closures and distance learning.

The Nutrition Services Department will continue to provide for families to drive through or walk up and pick up meals for Children 18 and Under.

In our effort to minimize the amount of time our families spend picking up meals, and in order to further protect our valued employees, we will continue providing five breakfast and lunch meals per child, once a week, on Mondays only, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for our Mountain View children.

To ensure all MVSD students have access, you will be asked to provide your child’s student identification (ID) number.  We hope this helps us meet the goals of providing food for the children of our District and giving you back more time to spend at home with distance learning.

Meals will be distributed at:

 ❖ Cogswell School    11050 Fineview Street, El Monte
 ❖ Kranz School    12460 Fineview Street, El Monte
 ❖ Madrid School    3300 Gilman Road, El Monte
 ❖ Payne School    2850 N. Mountain View Road, El Monte
 ❖ Twin Lakes School    3900 Gilman Road, El Monte
 Miramonte School   10620 Schmidt Road, South El Monte

Additional distribution sites will be added in the future.

Welcome to Monte Vista for the 2020-2021 school year! Monte Vista stands for academic excellence through high expectations for all students and their families. As a testament of our commitment, our middle school program has been recognized as one of the best schools in Los Angeles county due to high state test scores both on ELA and Mathematics.  I continue to encourage students to cultivate a growth mindset with a can-do attitude and to always remember that our school recognizes not the smartest but the ones who work the hardest.

With self-motivation, effort, and the right strategies learned from parents and teachers, our students can succeed. I continue to encourage parents to become actively involved in school matters, be role models, and to expect nothing less than the very best from their children. In return, the Monte Vista team will continue to challenge ourselves to be our Best US this school year.
